Chapter 3. Content Window: Building Your Content
───────────────────────────────────────
It's important to realize the separation between your content and your design. The
Content window facilitates content building and basic editing options for your text and
photos. Anything to do with design is not part of the Content window.
What's Covered in this Chapter...
This chapter covers everything involved with building your actual content and all the
features available to help you easily and quickly build each content block: composing &
editing text descriptions, inserting links (including email links), adding page titles for
each page, importing your photos, editing your photos, adding captions and
watermarks, and using photo albums and groups.
What's Not Covered in this Chapter...
This chapter does not cover the Advanced editing features that are accessible from the
Content window. The advanced options are covered in Chapter 9. This is also not the
place to worry about the design or look and feel of your site. The design tools and
layout editing options involve several features that are not easy to see or use if you
don't have any content built first. Using the Design tools contained in the Layout
window, is covered in Chapter 6.

Start Building Your Content
Now that we have set up the preferences, website properties, added some albums and
groups, and organized the site files, we can begin building the content of the site. Note:
text is edited in the content window, while font styles and colors are edited in the
layout window. Make sure you have the Content window open before starting the next
sections.
3.1 Page Titles & Text Content
Adding page titles, inputting a text description for each page, editing the text, and
inserting hyperlinks and email links into text.
3.2 Photos, Captions, & Watermarks
Importing photos, adding and editing captions, inserting links to caption text and
thumbnails, and adding watermarks to your photos.
Using groups and organizing photo albums within a group.
3.4 Editing Your Photos (ImageWell Edit Window)
Using the ImageWell editor to crop, rotate, zoom, and add draw objects to your
photos (labels, thought clouds, talking balloons, circles, and squares).
