Chapter 8. ShutterBug Xtras: How To
───────────────────────────────────────
This chapter goes through the step-by-step instructions of how to add each type of
Xtra to your pages. Some Xtras require the addition of external files into the Files
Interface of the Content window, while others only require the addition of an Xtra box in
the Layout window. Any Xtra that falls under the External File type will require the
Content window as well as the Layout window. All other Xtras - Xtra Text, HTML
Snippet, and the Image/Graphic Xtra - only require the Layout window.
NOTE: Xtras are added to the template, not to your page content. If you want
the Xtra added to the current page only, you must first add a new template for
the page, in order to make it independent of the other pages in your site.
Otherwise, the Xtra will be added to all pages that use that same template.
Review the following table to understand which type of Xtra you need in order to do
what you want to do. Click a link in the "How Do I Add It" column to go to the step-by-
step instructions for adding and editing the desired Xtra.
