Chapter 4.  Preview Window: Preview & Test Your Site

───────────────────────────────────────

After you are finished building content in the Content window, click the Preview tab to

reveal the Preview window. The preview window contains a built-in browser for the

convenience of testing and reviewing your site. Preview mode is designed to display

your pages the way they will look in multiple browsers on cross-platforms.

However, there are a few items/capibilities that cannot be displayed in Preview mode -

you can simply select the Preview in Browser button to preview your site locally in an

external browser outside of ShutterBug, which will display all actions and features that

you've added to your site.

The HTML output of your site has been carefully and thoroughly designed to resolve

any known rendering issues that can occur with today's many different browsers. This

means you don't need to worry about fixing and testing for individual browsers. We've

already done that for you and strive to stay on top of any new issues that may arise

with newly released browser versions. This ensures consistent results across multiple

browsers, without any added hassle to you. To review the browsers that ShutterBug

compliance is tested for, please see Browser Compatibility in Section 1.1.
